Sprinting

If blankets are marathons, I have definitely been doing the final sprint over the last couple of weeks.

Those of you who’re following on Instagram or Facebook will have seen my pics and my sheer dogged determination to Just Get It Done, and at last I am there. I’ve been working and working and working over the last week or so, joining squares and working on the border, and at last today I sewed in my final end. Hurrah!!

Done! Done done done! 😀

It’s now gone into the washing machine, and I can (finally!) move on to something else.

The pattern is now with my lovely testers – on which subject, I should mention that I’m looking for more people to join my permanent testing team. If you’re interested, go and leave a comment on the facebook post 🙂

So what’s on my hook next? Well, I’ve got a relatively simple blanket on the go in Batik Swirl, and I’m letting ideas percolate for my next ‘big’ blanket. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth back into some designing, though – I feel I’ve not done enough of that, lately!

  1. Hi Catherine I’m interested in joining your testing team. I quite an experienced crocheter now having made several blankets, shawls, cuddly toys etc over the past 4 years, including your Ross blanket and I’m currently working on Demelza. I don’t work, so can offer quite a bit of time.

    Regards Suzy Perry

    Ps. I’m not on Facebook

  2. I love this blanket – the colours are so welcoming and it looks so soft – you just want to wrap yourself up in it. Perfect.
