The Winding Path CAL – Part 08

Today we’re onto joining all these lovely squares and rectangles 🙂

You may be feeling daunted about joining all along those long rectangle edges, and worried about how neat the joins might look, but there’s a technique that will make this neater for you! It takes a little longer, but it’s worth it. It’s not my own technique, so you may have encountered it before. It involves slip stitching up the sides of each rectangle (and square) before you actually join – so it uses a little more yarn, but it gives a beautifully neat join.

You’ll be using colour B if you’re using the official colour packs – that’s Marmalade (Highland Heathers) for Moorland Meander, Shale (Highland Heathers) for Highland Hike, and Bottle (Special DK) for Woodland Wander.

The pattern is available now on Ravelry. Just to remind you, it’s available in US terms only but with lots of pictures and diagrams to help you out.

Do come along and join the Facebook page, too, to let me know how you’re all doing 🙂

See you in a fortnight for the final part!

xx

Catherine
