Still on track to make an ornament a day 😀

Apparently I neglected to take a picture of my day 11 mini skein. Nooo! I have nothing to blame except my own forgetfulness and exhaustion. And it’s such beautiful yarn, too! Mottled blue, brown and cream, so lovely. I made this little bird with it. The pattern is Lion Brand’s Little Bird Ornament. It’s a free pattern, but you do have to register with their website. It’s a lovely little pattern, very quick to work up, and the bird is little and light and looks as though it would fly away if it could!

Yesterday I got this beaaaautiful greeny-blue yarn. It’s so lovely. Possibly one of my favourites so far 😀 I made a little pair of ice skates with it. It’s such a cool idea, using paperclips for the blades. The pattern is Schlittschuh, by Kristinas Art. It’s a free pattern, but it’s in German. And I don’t speak German. But! There are plenty of pictures, and I figured it out easily enough. And they’re terribly cute little skates, with the little paperclip blades and the laces on the boots.

And that’s my halfway point for this advent calendar. Twelve more little ornaments to make (including today’s; better hurry up with that!), and then it’s Christmas!!!
